Sofia receives the title of European Capital of Sport for 2018, this decision was taken on a meeting Evaluation Committee ACES Europe. In his letter to the Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova the president of ACES Europe Gian Francesco Lupatoto says that Sofia has begun to develop policies with good sports facilitie, program and activities. The city is a good example for all sports as a tool for improving the healthy lifestyle, integration, education, which are one of the main objectives of the initiative.
