Internet users in China have heaped praise on the country’s President Xi Jinping for two selfies he posed for with Fadli Zon, the vice president of the Great Indonesia Movement Party, reports Hong Kong-based Phoenix New Media.
Some netizens called the pictures adorable and praised him as a leader in touch with his people. The selfies went viral on Chinese social media networks.
Zon took the selfies during the Asian-African Summit 2015 and uploaded them to his Twitter account on April 22. They drew Chinese internet users’ attention after a fan-group page of Xi’s wife Peng Liyuan on microblog Sina Weibo, reposted them.
The two selfies were shot from the same angle. One of the selfies is slightly blurred.
Xi and Peng were visiting Jakarta for the Asian-African Summit.
