From December 12th to 14th, 2025, Mr.Feng Xin, the Chairman of the Bulgarian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Association in China Region, Mr.Wang Zhigang, the president of the East China Branch of the Bulgarian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Association in China Region, and Mr.Fu Tie, the president of the Northeast China Branch of the Bulgarian Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Association in China Region, visited Guangxi Autonomous Region together to conduct a three-day in-depth research to understand the local government’s investment policies, details of overseas cooperation channels, and the feasibility of future deep cooperation. During this period, the delegation visited the China ASEAN Bussiness Center and had in-depth exchanges with representatives of the center’s operation team.

Mr. Tang Hai, General Manager of Operations at the China ASEAN Bussiness Center, first introduced the center’s positioning and successful cases of domestic and international cooperation over the years.

The China ASEAN Bussiness Center is a platform established in Guangxi to promote economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, providing services such as trade and investment, economical platform , and technological innovation, and promoting cooperation among RCEP countries. The following is its main information:

Background: The center was established in Guangxi to expand the value chain of the China ASEAN Expo and is a major innovation demonstration project in the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone.

Strategic significance: The center aims to achieve high-level openness, international operation, and commercial operation, promote cooperation between China, ASEAN, and RCEP countries, and further strengthen regional economic ties.

Functional positioning: As a “one-stop” comprehensive service platform, the center provides a variety of services, including promoting trade and investment cooperation, promoting platform economy and technological innovation incubation, and providing talent services for minority languages.

Operation situation: Since its official unveiling and operation on April 24, 2021, the center has actively organized various activities, such as the Foreign Trade“Lecture Hall”event, providing professional training and exchange opportunities, and helping enterprises improve compliance efficiency.

Mr.Feng Xin, the Chairman of the Bulgarian Chinese Chamber of Industry association in China Region, then introduced the development history and successful cases of the association. He emphasized the functional positioning of the sub regional branches.As an association established in Bulgaria, it actively promotes cross industry and multi-level cooperation among multilateral countries in China through its established South China, East China, Northeast, and Northwest branches, which are responsible for rapid response mechanisms, market promotion and publicity, international logistics, and building a global international trade supply and marketing database.

China is the only country in the world with all industrial categories in the United Nations Industrial Classification, making it the only country in the world to achieve full industry chain coverage. This advantage forms a complete production loop from raw materials to finished products.

Mr. Feng Xin cited China’s core advantages and global influence

Economic resilience: The entire industry chain enables China to have strong risk resistance capabilities and maintain production stability through internal allocation under external shocks.

Market and innovation synergy: The 1.4 billion consumer market (including 450 million middle-income groups) and the complete industrial chain mutually promote each other, driving technological iteration and economies of scale.

Global competitiveness: relying on the cost advantage of the whole industrial chain, and exporting systematic competitiveness in the “the Belt and Road” project.

He also introduced Bulgaria’s basic situation and competitive advantages: EU member states, Schengen area countries, and Euro countries starting from 2026.

Geographical advantage: the intersection of Asia, Europe and Africa is the first stop of the the Belt and Road to enter Europe.

Geopolitical and economic advantages: the earliest European country to establish diplomatic relations with China, radiating the 700 million consumer market in Europe

Advantages of open investment cooperation among countries with the lowest tax rate in Europe: both corporate and personal taxes are levied at a fixed rate of 10% of profits, making it the lowest in the European Union

Advantageous industrial clusters:

Information technology and outsourcing services: IT outsourcing centers in Central and Eastern Europe have lower software development costs compared to Western Europe.

Automotive and Electronic Manufacturing: An Important Production Base for Automotive Wiring Harnesses in Europe.

Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology: Leading in generic drug production, the proportion of biopharmaceutical research and development investment in GDP has been increasing year by year.

Renewable energy: It is planned that by 2030, the proportion of clean energy will reach 27.3%, and wind, solar, and hydropower projects will accelerate their implementation.

Business environment

Eastern Europe has the most competitive labor costs and abundant reserves of multilingual talents.

Mature industrial foundation: The density of engineers with higher education ranks among the top in the European Union.

Efficient logistics network: Burgas Port (Black Sea), Pan European Transport Corridor, and 5G network coverage.

Currently, the economic and trade relations between China and Bulgaria are at their best in history. From 2020 to 2024, bilateral trade volume rapidly increased from 2.9 billion US dollars to 4.1 billion US dollars, and China’s cumulative investment in China reached 170 million US dollars. Cooperation areas covered key industries such as agriculture, manufacturing, new energy, automobiles, and information technology. The Bulgarian government attaches great importance to cooperation with China, and the Minister of Economy and Industry has publicly expressed willingness to provide more convenience and support for Chinese enterprises. Against this background, organizing precise docking of Chinese enterprises is a strategic measure to respond to the “the Belt and Road” initiative and grasp the window period of European industrial restructuring.

We hope that through this conference, in the current irreversible trend of globalization but still full of many urgent difficulties to be solved, we can systematically promote various aspects including culture and tourism, education, sports, film, international trade, etc., and directly and quickly build a good communication mechanism platform for the development of the people’s livelihood of the country and enterprises.
