The China Securities Regulatory Commission will convene a special symposium on Monday to gather suggestions on promoting the stable and healthy development of the country’s capital market, China Daily has learned from sources close to the regulator.
The meeting, scheduled for July 20, will bring together representatives from listed companies, securities firms, and fund institutions, marking the clearest signal yet that regulators are ramping up efforts to bolster market confidence following a sell-off on Friday.
This came after two major State-owned capital investment companies — China Chengtong Holdings and China Reform Holdings — announced on Sunday evening that they had increased their holdings of A-share stocks and will continue to do so.
