First festival of Tourism and Essential Oils passed in the capital of Rose Valley Strelcha. Municipality Tourist Information Center Enlightenment-1871 Community Center and The Historical Museum held the Event. It was part of the festival organized by Local Tourist Exchange, in which TIC and the tourism industry. This was presented as opportunities for a holiday in Strelcha through promotional materials and attractions such as jam tasting from roses and famous gyul brandy.
Manufacturers of cosmetic essential oils took part in the separate “Alley of Fragrances” and “Alley of Crafts” products and handicrafts from all over the country.
The focus of the festival program was rose production. The guests of the city had the opportunity to get acquainted with the rose picking “on the spot” at the presentation of the ritual of collecting the pink flower and at the visit of the “Old Rosary”.
In his address to the residents and guests, the mayor of the municipality Georgi Pavlov said that despite the difficulties in preserving the livelihood of Strelcha – rose production, Strelcha will move forward because it has a rich resource for tourism development and production of essential crops.
The Municipal Administration and the Municipal Council supported the fair demands of the rose growers on whose behalf Ms. Tsvetana Kuncheva read a declaration, which will be sent to the caretaker government.
The concert program of the festival was attended by amateur ensembles from the Community Center “Enlightenment-1871” – Singing Choir “Patriotism”, Singing Group “Arrow”, Singing Group “Homeland”, Dance Ensemble “Smiles” and guest musicians from the orchestra “Plovdiv” with a soloist Tsonka Nanova and the “Toast” formation.
