National Statistic Institute of Bulgaria confirm Trade in goods with China negative balance. Total value is 1,1094 Billion BGN. In the period January – August 2021 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries increased by 20.5%. Compared to the same period of 2020 and amounted to 14 697.6 million BGN. The imports of goods from third countries grew by 28.8% and added up to 19 255.2 million BGN.
In the period January – August 2021 the total value of Trade in goods to third countries and EU amounted to 43 491.4 million BGN
22.4% more than the same period of the previous year. The total value of all imported goods from third countries. EU added up to 48 273.5 million BGN and grew by 26.4%.
Main trade partners of Bulgaria were:
- Turkey,
- China,
- United States
- Serbia,
- United Kingdom
- Republic of North Macedonia
- Russian Federation.
This accounted for 54.8% of the exports to non EU countries.
In August 2021 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries grew by 45.7%.
Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 1 989.3 million BGN.
In the period January – August 2021 in the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries:
Distributed according to the Standard International Trade Classification. The most notable growth compared to the same period of 2020 was recorded in sections:
- ‘Crude materials, inedible (except fuel)’ (32.3%)
- ‘Mineral fuel, lubricants and related materials’ (29.0%).
- A fall was reported only in section ‘Beverages and tobacco’ (20.7%).
Imports of goods to Bulgaria from third countries in the period January – August 2021 increased by 28.8%.
In comparison with the same period of 2020 added up to 19 255.2 million BGN (at CIF prices). The largest amounts were reported for the goods imported from:
- Turkey.
- The Russian Federation,
- China
- Ukraine
The imports of goods to Bulgaria from third countries grew by 56.2%. Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to 2 773.5million BGN.
